Counterparty commitment
A tested, not assumed, commitment from every intended participant in a multi-party ledger to actually enter data on their own side. A shared ledger with one genuinely participating party is a database with extra steps, and the commercial negotiation to secure this commitment usually decides a programme’s outcome before the engineering does.
