Blockchain architecture & advisory

A shared ledger earns its cost when several parties who do not trust each other must agree on a sequence of events and no one of them may hold the authoritative copy. In most enterprise architectures one party legitimately can — and then a replicated database is cheaper, faster and easier to audit.

The engagement is the written answer to that question, delivered as a document that survives internal review rather than a workshop. Where the answer is no, we say so in writing, and we have ended engagements at that sentence.

Four workstreams

01

Chain selection

The finality assumption the accounting system needs decides the shortlist before throughput does. Cost of operation is modelled, not estimated.

02

Custody design

Who may sign, under what approval, and what happens when a signer leaves. Usually the longest item in the plan.

03

Threat modelling

Bridge exposure, upgrade capture, oracle dependence, and the failure that is a governance question wearing a technical costume.

04

Build-or-buy

Against the licensable catalogue and against the market. A recommendation with the case for not building it at all.

How an engagement runs

  1. 1–2 weeks

Framing. The authoritative-record question, the parties, and what a counterparty would accept.

  2. 3–5 weeks

Architecture. Chain, custody, finality, integration map, operating cost, and the risks named.

  3. 1–2 weeks

Review. The document taken through internal risk, audit and technology governance with us in the room.

  4. Optional

Carry the same team into delivery, or hand the document to whoever builds it.
