Recovery rehearsal
The periodic execution of a recovery procedure on a staging environment by whoever is on the rota, rather than by the people who wrote it. An unrehearsed recovery procedure should be treated as absent.

Rehearsal is scheduled, deprioritised against delivery, and then needed.
What good looks like
A fixed cadence, the on-rota team performing it, and a dashboard field for days since the last successful rehearsal.
